Fraunhofer ISE, FENECON and OpenEMS are developing an open-source solution

The Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE, FENECON GmbH and the OpenEMS Association e. V. are jointly developing an open-source reference implementation for energy management systems (EMS) that enables secure and interoperable communication between metering systems, control systems and decentralised energy generation facilities. This solution lays the foundation for secure power grids and the economically optimal operation of generators, storage systems and electricity consumers. The integration of a library for communication protocols developed at Fraunhofer ISE into the open-source energy management system OpenEMS is intended to drive forward the digitalisation of the energy system....

jEEBus.SHIP v2.2.0 released under the EPL-2.0

With the newest version 2.2.0, jEEBus.SHIP is now available under the more permissive Eclipse Public License (EPL-2.0). Additionally, the source code is now publically available on GitHub. If you want to use jEEBus.SHIP as a library, you can still include it via Maven Central. Also check out the Changelog for v2.2.0.

jEEBus.SPINE is now Open Source

With the new version 3.0.0, jEEBus.SPINE is now available under the GNU Affero General Public License (AGPL). Together with our SHIP implementation you can now use jEEBus as an SDK to develop EEBus applications in Java. Check out the new User Guide to learn how. The source code is available in the download section. If you want to use jEEBus.SPINE as a library in your own software projects, you can include it via Maven Central....

jEEBus is now § 14a ready (EnWG)

Our EEBus implementation jEEBus is now § 14a ready and supports all relevant EEBus use cases. Paragraph 14a of the German Energy Industry Act (EnWG) covers the grid-oriented control of controllable energy-consuming devices and controllable grid connections. This allows distribution system operators (DSO) to temporarily reduce the power of these devices in critical grid situations.
