Bidirectional inductive charging station for electric vehicles

Electric vehicles (EV) have the potential to contribute to stabilization of the electrical grid and integration of renewable energies into the grid. Intelligent charging schedules can adapt the charging power according to current energy supply and gird situation. In BiLawE a bidirectional inductive charging system is developed, which also provides vehicle-2-grid (V2G) services and reactive power compensation. Our part is the development of the communication infrastructure between electric vehicle, charging station and car park management system. OpenMUC is used as communication controller inside the electric vehicle (EVCC) and inside the charging station (SECC).
